RESEARCH PROFILE


Research interests:
Photonic systems: optical wireless communications, optics, communications systems, imaging, medical applications of optical and infrared techniques.

BACKGROUND


Roger J. Green, who is a member of the ICT Research Group in Engineering, leads an active research group concerned with photonic systems and signal processing. He holds patents which have been responsible for two University spin-off companies : Shibden Limited and Optical Antenna Solutions. He is a member of the Architecture Council of the Infrared Data Association (IrDA), has served as a member of the Engineering Professors Council, and a member of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee.
