I am currently a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Warwick, supervised by Saul Schleimer and Brian Bowditch.

My research interests lie in low-dimensional topology with an affection for computational complexity questions.

I should also mention that I am really fond of knots.

My current research project focuses on curves and train tracks on surfaces.

Activities:

Some of the G&T students are reading Bruno Martelli's book "An Introduction to Geometric Topology". Meetings are usually taking place on Thursdays. Please let me know if you would like to have any further information.

As a postgraduate representative, I am currently a member of the Diversity Committee of the Mathematics Institute at Warwick.

Teaching:

2018-2019: Teaching assistant for CS301 Complexity of Algorithms

2017-2018: Teaching assistant for MA3F2 Knot Theory

2017-2018: Teaching assistant for CS301 Complexity of Algorithms

2016-2017: Teaching assistant for MA249 Algebra 2: Groups and Rings

2016-2017: Teaching assistant for MA3F2 Knot Theory

2015-2016: Supervisor for second-year mathematics students at Warwick

Past:

During the past two years, I was a co-organiser of the GATEWAY seminar, a seminar for young researchers in geometry and topology at Warwick. The current organisers are Esmee te Winkel and Marco Barberis.

In the past year, Alex Wendland and I were chairing the Staff-Graduate Student Liaison Committee (SGSLC). The new chair is Philip Herbert. Please contact him if you have any questions.

During the past year, I was taking care of the geometry and topology reading seminar on Jessica Purcell's book "Notes on hyperbolic knot theory". Please contact Saul Schleimer if you are interested in joining the seminar in the upcoming academic year.

Prior to joining Warwick University, I undertook a three year BSc and a two year MSc in Mathematics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany (2010-2015). My master's thesis was on the support of the Khovanov homology of alternating links, supervised by Prof. Dr Thomas Vogel.
