Four new academic leadership appointments

Four new academic leadership roles have been appointed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Pam Thomas.

Professor John Davey and Professor Laura Green have been appointed as Deputy-Pro-Vice-Chancellors (Research), and Professor Jacqueline Hodgson and Professor Kerry Kirwan as Academic Directors (Research).

Professor Pam Thomas said:

I am delighted to announce my new senior academic executive team for research. These are each important appointments that will make a significant contribution to the delivery of Warwick’s ambitious plans for research going forward, and will be pivotal in our planning for the next REF and beyond.”

The team will work collegiately to provide a strong alliance of academic leadership, whilst having a particular focus in the following areas:

Professor John Davey: Deputy-Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), Research Infrastructure and Governance, with immediate effect.

Professor Laura Green: Deputy-Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), Interdisciplinary Research and Impact from 1 September 2017.

Professor Jacqueline Hodgson: Academic Director (Research), Research and Impact in the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities from 1 July 2017.

Professor Kerry Kirwan: Academic Director (Research), Research Innovation & Industrial Research, with immediate effect.
