A Celebration of Orchards and Fruit
Friday 31st January 2 – 4pm
Staff, students and members of the community are invited to join us for a celebration of orchards and local fruits.
The event will start with the planting of local species of apple, pear and cherry in a newly selected orchard location.
Talks will follow on the importance of orchards in the landscape and their impact on wildlife, as well as poetry reading.
Speakers include:
- Ian Jelley, Director of Living Landscapes at the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust
- Andy Howard, Midshires Orchard Group and the Heritage Fruit Tree Company
- Nigel Hutchinson, local Poet
Light refreshments will be provided.
