Emmy and BAFTA award winning screenwriter, former teacher at the University and honorary graduate, Andrew has arguably revitalised the small screen costume drama. His works includes Tipping the Velvet, Pride and Prejudice, House of Cards, Mr Selfridge, Little Dorrit and A Very Peculiar Practice, and for cinema Circle of Friends and Bridget Jones’s Diary. Come and hear from the man that famously had Mr Darcy diving into a lake...and is currently taking on the challenge of adapting War and Peace!

Andrew Davies has been writing since 1960. His television credits include A Very Peculiar Practice, House of Cards, Pride and Prejudice, Bleak House, and War and Peace (January 2016) Big screen credits include both Bridget Jones films and The Tailor of Panama. He has won six Baftas and two Emmys.
