Funding for PhD programmes

Prospective students looking for sources of funding should consult the University's scholarships pages.

Warwick scholarships operate via an integrated competition (ie. your application for a place on the PhD is used to consider you for any scholarship for which you are eligible). UK and EU nationals may be considered for one of 17 full scholarships* offered by our Centre for Arts Doctoral Research Excellence (CADRE). Non-EU foreign nationals may be considered for a Warwick Chancellor's International Scholarship.

Each of these types of award provide full payment of tuition fees and a subsistence stipend. The University may decide to make some fees only awards via the integrated competition. Current PhD students may apply for funding in their first year of full or part-time study only.

*2016-17 numbers; subject to change.

The PhD funding competition for 2017 entry is now closed.
