Bond@50: The Work of Edward Bond

 bond poster

In 1962 the Royal Court Theatre presented Edward Bond's The Pope's Wedding

and introduced one of the greatest playwrights of our time.

As part of a celebration of Edward Bond's career, Warwick University's English and Theatre Studies Departments hosted

a one-day symposium on the Warwick campus on

Friday 2nd November 2012,

bringing academics and practitioners together in talks, discussions and workshops. The aim was to explore Bond's unique contribution

to British and world theatre, to modern dramatic theory, and to questions of the political and civic role of drama in modern society.
