BA Film and Literature

Essential Information

Entry Requirements
A level: ABB to include either English Literature or English Language-Literature (combined).
IB: 34 points including 5 in Higher Level English Literature.

BTEC: We welcome applications from students with other recognised qualifications. Applicants with BTEC qualifications are considered on an individual basis, taking into account both (a) the degree of focus on close analysis of texts, and (b) GCSE qualification. Our typical BTEC offers are as follows:

  • BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A-Levels) – DDM overall
  • BTEC Level 3 National Diploma (equivalent to 2 A-Levels) plus 1 A-Level – DD in the BTEC plus grade B in the A-Level OR DM in the BTEC plus grade A in the A-Level
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate (equivalent to 1 A-Level) plus 2 A-Levels – Distinction in the BTEC plus grades A,B in two A-Levels OR Merit in the BTEC plus grades AA in two A-Levels.
