TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
Temporary Lecturer (Northumbria University): From Lunatic to Citizen?: Madness and Society since 1800 (HI0529), 2011-12
Lectures and seminars for group of 30 second year undergraduates. The course studies social responses to mental disorder in Britain across a period that saw the boundaries between madness/ sanity challenged and redefined in principle and practice.
Dissertation workshops for 8 third year undergraduates. These workshops support students in the development of their research and the skills and methods required to successfully complete their projects.
Seminar Tutor (University of Warwick): Making of the Modern World (HI0153), 2010-11
Three large seminar groups (13-17 students in each), taught as a core survey course to first year undergraduates. This covers a range of major themes in modern history, from 1750 to the present. For further information, please see here
