Summary

Level:

You have an excellent mastery of the language. You may have done two years of post A2 level study or 7 years attendance at evening classes. You can communicate and interact with ease in any social or work situations. You may visit a Spanish speaking country regularly.

Main Objectives:

This is a conversational course. The course will demand greater accuracy from you and involve you more in the exploration of issues of a cultural or political nature.

Teaching:

1 x 2 hour class per week plus some independent learning.

Course Description

This is a conversational course. You will be part of a small group (up to 12 people) and will have plenty of opportunity to talk. No new grammar is taught at this level, however revision will cover all main points. Weekly homework tasks related to the topics discussed in class will be set.

Topics

A selection of topics will be covered such as:

  • current affairs in the world (mainly Spain and Latin America);
  • topics of general interest about the Spanish-speaking world;
  • students’ particular interests will also be integrated into the topics presented in class where possible.

Grammar

  • no new grammar will be taught in this course. However, revision will cover all main points.

  • listening, speaking, reading and writing.
