About

I graduated from the University of Paris Ouest and went on to gain an MA (Distinction). After taking a gap year to teach as a lectrice in the UK, I gained the competitive qualifications to teach in France both at secondary level (the CAPES) and at university level (the Agrégation). I then moved to the UK, taught in secondary schools and at Aston University before joining Warwick.

Since my appointment as Language Coordinator for French I have taken a central role in the areas of course design , leadership of the language team and the development of language tutors, French conversational assistants and postgraduates.

In 2019 I established links with Oldyssey, Link opens in a new windowa non-profit organisation and our students became involved in the Share Ami intergenerational virtual exchange with French senior citizens, often residing in care homes. This innovative real-world learning opportunity received the attention of the national and international media during the pandemic (see articles in The Guardian, Le Monde,).

In 2019 I won the Outstanding Contribution Award in the Warwick University Staff Awards.
