Outreach and Widening Participation
At Global Sustainable Development, we recognise the value of Education for Sustainable Development as a key promoter of change. We are highly committed to engaging a wide and diverse audience and advocate for the inclusion of sustainable development in the teaching curriculum to promote global citizenship among children of all ages. We are therefore excited to work with schools and teachers across the country to increase exposure and access to the study of global sustainable development. Global Sustainable Development Competition
Each year, the Global Sustainable Development Department runs a competition for year 11 and 12 students (students aged between 15 and 17 years).

Student Research
Global Sustainable Development is not just worrying about the state of the world, but undertaking in-depth research and developing concrete proposals to better manage the development process.
Postgraduate projects
On our MASc in Global Sustainable Development, students have the opportunity to ‘learn by doing’ through a transdisciplinary capstone project. We offer a choice of research, practice, and work-based experiences. The capstone project enables students to develop a skillset most suited to their future career goals.

Global Research Priorities
Our GSD programmes build on research excellence from across the University, including the work of the Global Research Priorities.
This year, the University invited some familiar faces to address our newest graduates at their ceremonies. Our GSD Class of 2022 heard from Global Goals Project Manager Elaine Wong (Psychology and Global Sustainable Development, 2019). Elaine spoke about her top three lessons from her time at Warwick: resilience, how to think and learn, and the importance of being a good student and friend. Elaine closed her speech by urging the Class of 2022 "to dream and to dare".
