The Critical Stage

Session One: 10.45am-11.15am

The Critical Stage

Lucinda Jarrett

Illness is often debilitating and disempowering. This presentation of exerpts from two performances written and devised by people living with death will demonstrate how theatre can give the very frail and vulnerable in our society the skills and the space to keep participating and engaging in their communities. More significantly, these performances also provide their immediate communities with the critical space to talk about the needs of the frail and to begin to change our social behaviour and attitudes to living with dying.
