Peter Kirwan

Peter Kirwan is a PhD student based in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at Warwick . His thesis, Shakespeare’s Apocrypha, is investigating the history and current practices of attribution/authorship studies as they relate to the Apocrypha, the plays associated with Shakespeare’s name that sit outside the canon owing to doubt over their authorshi.p

Other research interests include, Shakespearean film, cultural reinterpretation of Shakespeare and editing practices as applied to Elizabethan and Jacobean drama. His MA dissertation focused on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Complete Works season and in the course of seeing every production he created his Bardathon blog to record his reactions. The Bardathon has since widened out to include other reviews, but still has a heavy Shakespearean bias.
