External Partners Day

Wednesday 11th December 2013, 10:00-16:30, Centre for Complexity Science

For the 2013/2014 Academic Year the External Partners Day is being coordinated by Prof Robert MacKay. Its scope has been enlarged to embrace the recently announced Centre for Doctoral Training in Mathematics for Real-World Systems (MathSys). It offers an exciting and interesting opportunity for students, staff and associates of both the Centre for Complexity Science and MathSys CDT to meet and engage with our external collaborative partners for MathSys.

All current MSc and Erasmus Mundus M1 and M2 students are required to attend, and all current PhD students in the Centre are asked to attend as well. The day will offer a mixture of formal and informal opportunities to discuss potential MSc projects and PhD research, internships and future possibilities with our external partners. This includes an afternoon of parallel smaller group meetings, in two sessions to allow students to attend more than one group during this time.

We will be delighted to welcome representatives from the following collaborative partners:

Pirbright, BT, Public Health Wales, National Grid, Jaguar Landrover, Thales UK, Public Health England, Polymaths Consulting and Warwick Analytics.
