The 6th Midlands Graduate School ESRC DTP Student Conference is a one-day event, which will be held at the Radcliffe – Warwick Conferences, University of Warwick, Gibbet Hill Road, Coventry, CV4 7AL. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘The Future of Social Science Research’ and the conference will offer an excellent opportunity to meet fellow researchers from other institutions who are working in similar disciplines, and to share ideas, experiences and advice.

10:00am – 10.30am: Registration and refreshments

10.30am – 10:50am: Welcome by Professor Nicholas Gane ESRC DTC/DTP Director

10:50am – 11:00am: Coffee/Tea

11:00am – 12:00pm: Session I – 3 Student presentations
12:00pm – 13:00pm: Lunch break
13.00pm – 14:00pm: Session II – 3 Student presentations

14:00pm – 14:10pm: Coffee/Tea

14:10pm – 15:10pm: Session III – 2 Student presentations and Keynote Speaker: Professor Michael Saward “Disciplines and Directions” - Leverhulme Research Fellow
15:10pm – 16:00pm: Networking and refreshments

Attendance

Postgraduate researchers (both ESRC funded and non-ESRC funded) based in connected Midlands Graduate School pathways from the Universities of Warwick, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Aston are welcome to attend the conference.

A travel bursary (maximum of £50) will be reimbursed for those presenters from the Universities of Birmingham, Nottingham, Aston, Leicester and Loughborough.
