The Landscape History of Liguria is a level 3 undergraduate module which is open to students of Geography and History. The module, which is co-taught by Ross Balzaretti (School of History) and Charles Watkins (Geography), was set up in 1995 with a view to linking geographical and historical approaches to the investigation of both past and current landscapes. It is focussed on a week-long field visit to the small north Italian town of Varese Ligure, in the Ligurian appennines.
