30th / 31st October

A two-day festival at Warwick Arts Centre that celebrates and continues to develop the exciting work of Warwick alumni theatre companies (including Barrel Organ, Clown Funeral, Feat. Theatre and Emergency Chorus). Through panels, performances and workshops , Emerge 2018 addresses questions surrounding the complex world we live in today. Where is home? How do we build it? How do we preserve it? GET INVOLVED!

Places at workshops and discussions are free and open to all - registration is not required. Tickets for performances can be booked at Warwick Arts Centre or click here to find out more

Emerge is an on-going collaboration between Warwick Arts Centre, the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) and the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (nominated for The Stage 'School of the Year', 2016). At the inaugural 2014 Emerge Festival and Laboratory, graduate theatre companies (including Dumbshow, Fat Git, FellSwoop, Kill the Beast) and alumni artists participated in four days of events and experiments. In 2015, Emerge celebrated the university’s 50th anniversary through Warwick 2065: Performance and the University alongside touring work from graduate companies including FellSwoop, Barrel Organ and Walrus. Please note the video above documents the laboratory practice, rather than the festival performances. Find out more about the 2018 festival.
