IATL Workshop on Movement

This one-day workshop was open to all undergraduate students from the University of Warwick. Its main aim was to introduce to students the basic ideas of ‘movement’, ‘motion capture’, the ‘function’ of the human body and how these can be explored and understood from an interdisciplinary point of view. During the workshop, an overview of these ideas and the purpose of the workshop was presented, a demonstration on how to use Warwick’s Gait Laboratory was given and hands on, simple experiments were performed by participants. To conclude, participants reflected on what was presented during the day and how interdisciplinary methods enable students and academics to broaden their understanding of ideas and topics.
