Online Presentation Masterclass

We are increasingly moving our presentations online, but we have had little training in tools and strategies for making our presentations accessible and interesting for different audiences. This workshop introduces some approaches and methods for improving online presentations.

The workshop is given by Saul Albert, a lecturer in social sciences at Loughborough University.

10.15-11.00 Interactive presentation

11.00-12.00 Group-work and feedback. Preparing 3-5 minutes presentations in pairs

12.00-13.00 Lunch

13.00-14.00 Online presentations in the group

What to Prepare

Please fill in this needs assessment questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeONicMSNPppB0QJv-O5sXG_YSYa__4O-Otti4v_gOZbGUXgQ/viewform, which will inform the design of the workshop - then bring a project (a paper, initiative, some teaching materials etc.), that you are planning to present online. You will work with a partner to build this into a short online presentation.

All Midlands Graduate School students, at any stage of your studies, are welcome to attend. Completion of the needs assessment questionnaire will register you for this event and you will be sent a link to join the session the day before.
