Latest research on the bullying experiences of disabled children and young people in England by Warwick Q-Step Centre Professor

Stella Chatzitheochari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Warwick Q-Step Centre, has conducted important research in collaboration with Sam Parsons (IOE) and Lucinda Platt (LSE) on the bullying experiences of disabled children and young people in England.

Their latest research suggests that children and young people with disabilities are more likely to be bullied at school compared to those students with no known disabilities.

An animated video has been created to disseminate their study’s findings to the general public and key stakeholders. You can watch the video, as well as read further information about the study, on the research webpage.

Their research has also been published in Sociology which can be accessed here.

Funding for this research was provided by the ESRC Secondary Data Analysis Initiative Project "Trajectories and Transitions of Disabled Children and Young People (ES/K00302X/1).
