The School of Life Sciences Atrium was host to the launch of an innovative Medicines Discovery Catapult facility. Former Health Minister, The Rt. Hon. The Lord Warner officially opened the laboratory in front of an audience of academics, biotech businesses and stakeholders from the life sciences community.
WAMIC Early Career Researchers took part in a STEM outreach activity at the XMaS Science Gala. This was a perfect opportunity to chat to pupils about the role of scientists in combatting antibiotic resistance.
WAMIC organised a public science event exploring issues around antibiotic resistance, with demos including 'electronic noses' to detect infection.
