The deadline for the competition is 25th February 2018.

Please email n.borrel@warwick.ac.uk with your entry or bring it along to the XMaS Science Gala to be held at the University of Warwick on 31st January 2018.

16 winners will then be selected by a panel of judges and informed by the end of March 2018.

The trip will take place 1st-5th July 2018. The students will experience what life might be like as an international research scientist. They will visit the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) and take part in the Synchrotron@School Programme. They will have the chance to tour the XMaS Beamline and meet scientists from various disciplines, but also get the chance to explore the beautiful city of Grenoble.

We are all back from Grenoble, where the winners met scientists, enjoyed the Synchrotron@school programme run by the ESRF, explored Grenoble in the stifling heat or the pouring rain. A big thank you to all the people who helped make this a memorable experience, and to the girls who were such an enthusiastic group!
