Before you decide whether you want to take part, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done, and what it will involve.

We would be grateful if you could take the time to read through our FAQs carefully.  Please feel free to discuss the project with friends, relatives, health visitor and your family doctor (GP).

You might also want to take a look at the leaflet published by Consumers for Ethics in Research (CERES), entitled “Medical Research and You” (2003).  This leaflet gives more information about medical research and looks at questions you may want to ask.
