Induction Week

Week 0 Induction week is compulsory for all our PGT students and is a fun busy week filled with introductory sessions essential for the course, advice and guidance from current students, sports day and lots of opportunities to get to know each other.

Accommodation

If any new students who are due to start at Warwick in Sept 2019 are interested in sharing a flat/house and are looking for a flat mate, please contact Chem-pgt@warwick.ac.uk and we will put you in touch.

Work and Teaching space

Chemistry PGT students are very fortunate to have teaching and work space in Senate House. Lockers and lockable cabinets are available for a small deposit - please request one on arrival as required. Hot desks are provided in workrooms for each cohort, we cannot guarantee each student their own desk.

Equipment

If you require use of a laptop you will be provided with a department laptop (PC) during induction week for use during your MSc. The laptops will contain software necessary for your MSc course. You will be expected to look after your laptop and hand it back at the end of the year in good condition.

Labcoats and safetly glasses will be provided during the first week of term.

Books for the course

The books you need for the couse will be lent to you for the duration of the course.

Finding your way around

All the Chemistry taught masters students at Warwick are based in Senate House which is right in the centre of campus opposite the Student Union and next to the Arts Centre.

Induction week sessions and most teaching will take place in the top floor of Senate House

Practical sessions and labs for all modules will take place in the Chemistry Department Teaching Labs on the 3rd floor.
