Qiang Zhang


 Biography

Qiang Zhang was born in Shandong, China in 1985. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Beijing Normal University between 2003 and 2007. He then carried out his master project which was about Organometallic Mediated Living Radical Polymerization in Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics, Beijing Normal University between 2007 and 2010.

Qiang started his PhD in Oct 2010 under the supervision of Professor David Haddleton. It is jointly funded by The University of Warwick and China Scholarship Council. He is currently in his first year PhD research.

Research interest

Synthesis of multiblock glycopolymers via Cu(0)-mediated radical polymerization.

Synthesis of Cyclodextrin-centred glycopolymers via living radical polymerization and click reaction.
