Christmas Lecture 2014

Sounds like a life saver

With one of the worst talk title puns of all time, Steve Dixon presented one of the Warwick University Christmas lectures, talking about ultrasound and how we use it to keep us safe and healthy with some of its applications in non-desttuctive testing, medical diagnosis and flow measuremements. Our resident fly made a guest appearance that one audience member tried to catch using our "bat hemlet visor" (see Big Bang Fair photos for more details). With over 20 volunteers from the audience taking part in the demonstrations, we needed all the research team on hand to make sure that it all went off smoothly.
