Index to reports

This is a brief guide to where the work that has been done on the project has been documented.

The two main pieces of documentation that review the entire project are the Progress Report (as submitted at the beginning of September 2015) and the draft Interim Report - a more extended report that is as yet incomplete. The Interim Report will need to be completed when 70% of the initial funding has been spent, before the remaining funds are released. These reports can be found on the Reports webpage.

The reports draw on other documentation some of which is intended to be public, some of which is archived in such a way that it can be accessed only by the core team members (these include drafts, working documents, personal communications etc such as useful for project work and reference, and would be helpful to an auditor). For this purpose, a 'core team member' is someone who has contributed to the work that is being reported. The primary activities for CONSTRUIT! are the scheduled learning activities C1-C18.

There are - or will be ! - webpages for each of these activities, which are indexed under Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. The learning / teaching / training (LTT) activities for year 1 are C1, C5, C8, C11 and C14.

On the Documentation webpage for Year 1, there are tables of public-facing reports that make up the documentation (as so far drafted) for Year 1 of the project:

  • For each LTT activity, there is a Summary, a Report, some Feedback, and a link to its webpage.
  • For the Project Management, Implementation and Strategy meetings A1-A4 and A13 there are minutes.
  • For the activities directed at generating Intellectual Outputs, there are brief reports describing what relevant work has been done.
  • there is an additional compilation of supplementary resources, including an informal calendar of events that have influenced the project work, and details of dissemination activities carried out.

There is a link on the RH column of Documentation webpage to a larger repository of working resources. Some of the background documentation and souurces that will be useful for reporting and auditing purposes are specifically related to LLT activities, and it has been helpful to archive those as sub-webpages of the webpage for the associated activity (see e.g. the hidden and private C14/reporting subpage). A repository of working resources can also be accessed by core project team members via a link on the RHS of the Documentation webpage.

From a strategic perspective, the most important concern is to ensure that the documentation of the activities ("workpackages") directed at generating Intellectual Outputs (O1-A1 ... O1-A6, O2-A1, O2-A2, O3-A1, O3-A2) is well-matched to what has actually been done and that the budget for this can be reconciled with actual contributions from the various partners. At this stage, there are discrepancies which need to be addressed. For instance, certain activities (such as O3-A1) have not been yet been completed, have yet to be properly documented (consider for instance the missing questionnaire) and reports have yet to be written (notably reports promised in O2-A2 and O3-A2). It also isn't always obvious how to relate what has been done to the specification of the activities, which is an issue where accounting is concerned. To make it easier to review these issues, there is an additional webpage called "The CONSTRUIT! account" which lists all the promised activities cited above as they were described, together with details of the responsibilities and number of days of work allocated to partners, in the original proposal. There is also an annotated version of this account which has some accompanying notes intended to clarify the way in which the actual work done so far to the workpackages.

Note that the pattern of work for years 2 and 3 will follow exactly the same pattern as the work in year 1, the only difference being that the focus of attention will be on different themes. Specifically, there is a pair of themes of primary interest in each year:

Year 1

  • MC1a. Principles and concepts for making construals
  • MC1b. Principles of construal comprehension

Year 2

  • MC2a. Collaborative construal construction
  • MC2b. Instrumenting construals for interactive assessment and evaluation

Year 3

  • MC3a. Deriving OERs from construals
  • MC3b. Other applications for making construals
