Equality & Diversity in the School of Engineering
Equality and Diversity (E&D) is a priority at the School of Engineering. The School is committed to developing their policies and practices in line with the Athena SWAN charter of which it is currently a Silver award holder.
The School has two Social Inclusion ChampionsLink opens in a new window, Caroline Whitehouse and Daciana Iliescu who act as a two-way communication between the School and the Centre. Champions have the responsibility of feeding back issues or concerns to the University's ED&I team and disseminating information back to colleagues on ED&I activities across the University.
The School's Equality and Diversity Committee meets once a term to discuss the advancement of E&D issues reporting into the School's Senior Management Committee.
