University of Warwick Formula Student Newsfeed
Last Wednesday (23rd April) the University of Warwick Formula Student team (WFS) visited Priors Field Primary School in Kenilworth with their award-winning racing car, and took it for a spin around the playground to introduce the pupils to the exciting world of engineering.

The team of twelve engineering students from the University is taking part in a high profile project to design, assemble and test a prototype single-seater racing car which will be taken to compete at an international competition at Silverstone in July, just days after the annual Formula 1 race is held there.

The team are currently working closely with sponsoring company Simpact to develop the W7 crash structure. Thanks to Simpact for their continuing support. We will have some cool videos showing how the car would respond to an impact.
In March, the WFS Team took to the Piazza in the centre of campus to promote the team alongside our supporters Land Rover Jaguar. The company brought along the brand new XF and a shiny new Range Rover.

The pits webcam is now officially up and running. You can watch the webcam by clicking on the Webcam button on the left menu bar, located just under the Video Gallery button. The webcam is currently set up in the New Pits area. If the bulk of our work moves to the Old Pits area, we will move the webcam so that you can still watch us work.
A few members of the team visited Andy Robinson Race Cars in Reading to see how the production of the W7 spaceframe is getting on. They also tested driver ergonomics and checked that no components fouled the spaceframe using our current setup.

See how they got on in the Photo Gallery.
