Adam Hall

I am in the third year of my PhD as a MASDOC student (having previously completed the MASDOC MSc), supervised by John Aston (Statistics, Cambridge) and Michael Chappell (Engineering, Warwick), and with input from Stephen Ward (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine) and Joel Tarning (Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit). My current research is motivated by the coupled modelling of anti-malarial drugs and parasite lifecycle, and employs non-linear latent variable models.

Research interests

  • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
  • Model formulation and simulation
  • Structural and practical identifiability and indistinguishability analyses
(using generic symbolic techniques where possible)
  • Bayesian techniques for hierarchical parameter estimation
  • Sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification
  • Model validation and evaluation
