Funding for EU students

MASDOC funding

We have a limited number of studentships, covering tuition fees, plus a stipend equivalent to the standard EPSRC maintenance grant. These studentships also include provision for travel funding and equipment.

EU students can qualify for these studentships, provided that they satisfy both of the following requirements:

(a) they will have been ordinarily resident (includes for study) in the UK for the three years immediately preceding when they would start with us;
(b) they have a relevant connection with the UK (it is in some sense already their home).

If you are seeking funding on the above basis, please apply as soon as you can because it can take time to confirm your eligibility - these are UK Government rules, not Warwick's. Offers will be made throughout the academic year 2017-2018 until the quota is reached and so you are advised to apply as soon as possible.

For other EU students, we have a limited number of fully funded studentships. However there is EPSRC funding which can only cover fees, but not maintenance allowance.

Other sources of funding

There are some general (and unfortunately rather limited) funding opportunities advertised by Warwick Graduate School, in particular the Chancellor's International Scholarships. Chancellors Scholarships fund only PhD so anyone wishing to apply must already have a first class MSc qualification. The MASDOC application deadline for Chancellor's Scholarships is early December 2017.

There may also be funding available to you from your home country; you are advised to apply without delay since many deadlines are surprisingly early.

The International Office also offers a range of scholarships for both MSc and PhD students.
