Introduction to Machine Learning Summer School

21-23 June 2017

Organisers: Magnus Richardson (MathSys) and Chenlei Leng (OxWaSP)

Registration is now closed as the school is at capacity.

Scope of the Summer School

Machine Learning is a rapidly growing field that has recently seen significant advances in real-world applications. The school will provide an introduction to the themes and methods of the field through talks by leading experts and three tutorials. The target audience is numerate with basic programming abilities - no prior knowledge of machine learning will be assumed.
Tutorials - we will cover the very basics of Deep Neural Networks with instructions and examples given using the Jupyter Notebook environment. Basic knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks (and a little Python or Julia) would be an advantage before the tutorials begin - these are straightforward to pick up.
Pointers to on-line resources can be found on the Summer School tutorial page.
