I am currently a third year PhD student in the CDT of Mathematics for Real-World Systems at University of Warwick. I am an enrichment student this year at The Alan Turing Institute. I am co-supervised by Thomas Nichols (BDI, University of Oxford) and Jianfeng Feng (Computer Science).

My research area is in computational neuroimaging and behaviours. Previouly, I worked with the Human Connectome Project (HCP) data, and studied links between human behaviors and brain connectivity using multivariate analysis and latent factor models. At the moment, I am extending my previous study to the UK Biobank data.
I carried out a project entitled “Spreading of Water Waves” for my undergraduate dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Phil McIver in Loughborough University. In this project, I investigated how a water wave spreads out from a given initial disturbance and developed mathematical descriptions in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces.
For my Master’s degree of Mathematical Finance, I undertook a research project in financial engineering entitled “Simulating Sample Paths of Stochastic Processes Arising in Financial Engineering”. This project concentrated on using different methods to simulate the paths of Brownian and geometric Brownian motions, and their applications in option pricing.
MathSys Group project: Using Multi-omic Cancer Data to Find Ways to Improve the Treatment of Bladder Cancer.
MathSys Individual project: Survival Following Pancreatoduodenectomy in England: Perspectives from the HES Database. The abstract of this work was accepted and presented at the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain & Ireland Annual Scientific Meeting in November, 2015.
Academically I am interested in machine learning, multivariate analysis, latent factor models, feature selection, predictive modelling and reproducible studies.
Non-academically my interests include piano, bridge and badminton playing.
