What is Patient and Public Involvement in Research?


Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in research is now known as Public Carer Public Involvement and Engagement (PCPIE), an opportunity for every individual to observe, participate and feedback on the range of research being conducted on behalf of the population both locally and globally.

It's about making sure that Research is relevant to the patient. It's about making a real difference to the patient experience. Ultimately, it's about making sure that the Research is applied in the NHS. It's not just about patients sitting on boards…
