Our MB ChB programme

If you want to know more about our four year MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) programme, the videos below give an insight into what our current students and staff think about the course.

Our MB ChB programme

Our four year MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) programme is designed for graduates. It is a challenging but extremely rewarding programme designed to help you become a highly competent, compassionate and strongly motivated doctor, committed to the highest standards of clinical practice, professionalism and patient care.

Medicine beyond the textbook

At Warwick we believe in the importance of early patient contact for our students. From the first term of your first year, you’ll spend time out in the community meeting patients. Hear what our students have to say about those first meetings with patients.

Diverse backgrounds, maximum ambition

At Warwick, we take students from both Arts and Science backgrounds. This means each student brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with them. One thing they all have in common? A passion for medicine and maximum ambition.

Driving your own education, introducing case based learning

Our programme is centred around case based learning, and our students feel this helps cement the knowledge they learn in lectures. Want to know more?

Valuable Experiences: Getting to know your patients

In your second year at Warwick you’ll spend one day each week in GP practice, this includes an extended patient visit to a patient’s home. How does this help your learning you ask? Watch our video to find out.

When you’re not afraid of hard work, accelerate your learning

Our graduate-entry only MB ChB is an accelerated programme. Rather than studying for five years, you’ll study integrated modules over a four year period. We won’t pretend this isn’t tough, fitting five years worth of information into four requires dedication. But, if you’re not afraid of the hard work, this challenging but rewarding programme will help you meet your first patient that little bit sooner.
