Professor Yvonne Carter of the Warwick Medical School has recently been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of West Midlands.

Yvonne is now one of a number of Deputies to the Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, Paul Sabapathy Esq CBE, who works as a local representative of the Queen. Deputy Lieutenants assist with any duties as they are required by the Lord-Lieutenant, and stand in for him in his absence at local events and ceremonies.
