Is NICE nice? A Warwick professor has his say

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) was set up in 1998 to end the lottery of postcode prescribing. Since then it has hardly been out of the headlines.

BBC Radio 4 invited Warwick Medical School's Professor Christopher McCabe to participate in a programme about the institute, looking at whether NICE has made a difference to patient care. Christopher McCabe is Professor of Health Economics.

The show was initially broadcast at 8pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 and will be repeated on Sunday, January 2007 at 5pm.
