A team of four first year MB ChB students, the 'Titanic Swim Team', have been crowned winners of the inaugural student vs staff WMS Game Show Jamboree.

In what was a very entertaining evening, four staff teams - including Head of Medical Education Professor Colin MacDougall and Chair of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Aileen Clarke - went head to head with four MB ChB student teams, battling it out for a trophy and £400 prize money.

Each of the seven rounds was based on the format of a different tv gameshow, from University Challenge and Only Connect to Catchphrase and 15 to 1, with one team being eliminated at the end of each round.

As well as answering questions on a variety of topics, contestants who made it as far as round five were tasked with creating hamburgers out of plasticine as part of the 'Generation Show' round.
