Research Interests

Joanne joined the Emergency Care group undertaking a systematic review designed to evaluate evidence for interventions aimed at reducing waiting time in and attendances at the emergency department. She is now working on research relating to social care and bereavement in emergency care and is project managing the national ambulance service guidelines project. Her main research interest is in Access to Emergency Care and Communication between Patients and Health Care Professionals.

Biography

Joanne studied psychology in the Department of Psychology here at Warwick. Since graduating Joanne has worked with the palliative care group and was involved in implementing and evaluating an innovative training programme for hospital consultants and exploring the training needs of Specialist Registrars.
