Research

Completed PhD student at Warwick Medical School (October 2015-2019, submitted thesis 2019, viva January 2020 and passed) in the division of Health Sciences. Researching into the feasibility of using routinely collected healthcare data to identify randomised controlled trial outcomes in Oncology.

Research includes, identifying outcomes, such as, progressive disease events in prostate cancer, using routine clinical data alongside data from Professor Nick James' clinical trial STAMPEDE (Systemic Therapy in Advancing or Metastatic Prostate cancer: Evaluation of Drug Efficacy). STAMPEDE is the largest interventional prostate cancer clinical trial in the world. Also, researching into outcomes in bladder cancer for the new HTA funded clinical trial, BladderPath.

Main interests include identifying outcomes in metastatic or high-risk prostate cancer and bladder cancer. Working between Warwick Medical School and an honorary contract with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and the Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit London (MRC CTU).
