Introducing philosophers to mental health practice and mental health practitioners to philosophy through issues raised by the different ways in which mental disorder has been conceptualised

This module has 5 units:

  • Unit 1 introduces problems around the relationship of philosophy and mental health
  • Units 2 and 3 consider concepts of disorder, disease and health
  • Units 4 and 5 take a critical look at the role evidence plays in evidence based medicine and the role of values in values based medicine
