A broad-based introductory course on the theory of ethics in relation to healthcare and how this has developed over time

Of interest to a wide range of health professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds
A number of specific subject areas are considered using key legal cases and discussion of case studies
The practical application of theory in your own practice is emphasised
You have the opportunity to bring examples of cases which have ethical issues arising in your own professional practice for group discussion
Topics covered include: the professional/patient relationship; treatment of vulnerable adults and children; ethical issues in reproductive medicine; ethics of resource allocation; difficult decisions at the end of life; ethical issues in education of health professionals
