Living in Warwick

All first year international, overseas-fee paying students are eligible to apply for a place in halls on the university campus. Warwick Accommodation has all the details. Accommodation ranges from shared flats to study rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen/communal area. Some study rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Living expenses at the University of Warwick are reasonable – the cost of living is much cheaper than in London. It will help you to plan a weekly budget for accommodation, food, books, travel and entertainment in advance.

Once you arrive at the university, the International Office runs events for new students to get to know each other. They also offer support and arrange daytrips to places of interest in the UK.

You can also join over 200 student societies to make like-minded friends and kick-start your social life. As well as interests such as music, sport, academic subjects and religious groups, there are cultural societies representing many countries around the world. If your interest isn't covered, there's the opportunity to start your own student society!

Campus facilities

A countrywide poll recently voted Warwick the best university campus in the UK. The Warwick campus has everything you need for easy living – shops (including a supermarket), banks, launderettes, a hairdressing salon, travel agent, cafes, restaurants and bars. Most weekdays, there's an indoor market in the Students' Union.

You can swim before lectures in the Sports Centre or work out in the Fitness Room. There's great entertainment seven nights a week in the Students' Union and you can take in a play or a concert at the Arts Centre or catch up on the latest releases at the cinema.

With over 20% of the Warwick student population coming from over 120 different countries, the Warwick campus is truly an international environment. Studying and living alongside students of different nationalities creates a unique learning experience.
