Gemma Warren (née Vickerson)

I first came to Warwick in October 2000 to do the BSc Mathematics with Intercalated Year. This included spending a year trying to learn French whilst studying maths at l'Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France. I graduated in the summer of 2004 and decided to stay on to study at the MOAC DTC.

I completed my MSc in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry in September 2005 and stayed on to do a PhD which I completed in April 2009. You can find out more about my MSc miniprojects and my PhD project using the links on the left.

I'm still at Warwick and am currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Warwick Medical School doing interdisciplinary research into a mitochondrial enzyme involved in fatty acid oxidation. Details of my research can be found here.
