Daniel Pearce

Background

After completing my Masters in Maths and Physics in 2007, I took some time out in which I did some travelling and worked as a climbing coach. I returned to Warwick in 2009 to start the MOAC postgraduate course.

Life Outside University

I am a very active person and enjoy climbing, surfing and gymnastics. When I am too tired for sports I also enjoy cooking, playing the guitar and reading.

Research Interests

During the course of my Ph.D I have looked at collective behaviour in animals, primarily how bird are able to organise themselves into huge flocks so easily. I study this by both simulation and observation on large starling flocks in the wild.
