Above Gavin Salisbury from the EPSRC is presenting me with the prize for being the overall winner at the 2006 Life Sciences Doctoral Training Centres Annual Conference in Oxford. This was on the basis of a lecture on my research. I also won the other prize available for "Best elevator pitch".

 

Alison Rodger and Albert Bolhuis (my two main supervisors) came to support me as I reached the final of the Midlands Postgraduate Research Competition.

I also came 2nd overall in the University of Warwick Postgraduate Research Competition 2006. Above I am attempting to explain my poster to a skeptical punter!
