Maria Adobes Vidal

About Me

Hello! My name is Maria and I come from Spain.

I studied Chemistry in the University of Valencia and did my Master in Medicinal and Pharmacological Chemistry at Jaume I University in Castello. I have a strong Organic Chemistry background but prior to my PhD studies I worked in the Analytical Chemistry department of the Polytechnic University of Valencia doing Basic research and development of practical applications in the field of bio and nanosensors.

I am currently based in the 'Electrochemical & Interfaces Group' at the University of Warwick where I did my PhD studies in Kinetics and Mechanisms of Crystal dissolution processes. My goal is providing new information on the growth and dissolution of individual crystals at a level where the behaviour of each exposed crystal face can be determined. Spectroscopic, electrochemical and microscopic techniques are used to study concentration and morphology changes at the surfaces of microcrystalline formulations.
