Charlecote Watermill, West Midlands

Charlecote Watermill is between the villages of Hampton Lucy and Charlecote (just a kilometre from Charlecote Park). OS Grid Reference SP259572, post code CV35 8BB (see map by Streetmap.co.uk).

Its a full time working mill (open to the public for Bank Holidays and the first Sunday of each month), grinding wholemeal flour which is mainly sold to local Indian and Pakistani familes as chapati flour. Local bakeries seem to prefer to save a few pennies...

Currently the mill only grinds whole-grain flour, but this Wire Machine was once used to sieve that to produce white flour:
