Strategy Bites: The Knowledge Centre

Tuesday 12 October 2010 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Research Exchange, Library

The first lunchtime Strategy Bites session of the 2010/11 academic year will focus on the recently launched Knowledge Centre website for alumni and friends of the University.

This session, led by Director of DARO, Communications and Strategy, Ian Rowley, Knowledge Centre Project Manager, Kevin Johnson and Senior Web Editor Ellie Lovell, will provide an overview of the progress made with the Knowledge Centre pilot, explain how it fits with the University Strategy and share key learning points to date.

Staff and students are encouraged to visit the website prior to the Strategy Bites session. If you'd like to attend this session, please take a few minutes to browse the website - the Knowledge Centre team would like to hear your thoughts on it.

About the Knowledge Centre

The aim of the Knowledge Centre is to keep alumni and friends up to date on academic developments at the University, highlighting recent research findings, giving academics the chance to share thoughts on their subject, and creating debate and discussion between those visiting the site and those contributing to it.

Big ideas, book reviews, live interactive events, in depth interviews and thought provoking blogs can all be found alongside a gateway to archive material and online learning resources.

Through the Knowledge Centre website, the University hopes to develop and maintain an online community of alumni and other key stakeholders who will be actively involved in developing the institutution in order to meet University goals.
